There are many ways you can help. From the perspective of the Midlands Interfaith Homelessness Action Council, we would hope you would join the Light Brigade and get involved in our activities. However, there are many other organizations that are making significant contributions.
Below you will find contact information for a number of organizations that are working in different ways to assist the homeless. Our prayer is that at least one will capture your attention and will benefit from your talents.

Family Shelter’s central mission is to provide temporary emergency housing and supportive services to homeless families in order to enable them to transition to permanent housing and a stable family life. Family Shelter is the only shelter in the Midlands area exclusively for families.

Providing for the needs of hungry people in 20 counties in South Carolina by gathering and sharing quality food with dignity, compassion, and education. Harvest Hope Food Bank is a regional distribution center that serves 20 counties and works with over 300 member agencies in South Carolina to feed hungry people. We also have an Emergency Food Pantry that is located on the premises and serves individuals with a 4 to 5 day supply of food to take home and feed their families.
